ASFF is an initiative of Sin Fin Cinema, founded by film curator and director Virginia Pablos, and operates through the ASFF Foundation, an non proffit organization which is dedicated to the organisation of cultural events, film programming, and the promotion of Spanish cinematic experiences in the Netherlands.

Over the years, ASFF has grown into a vital platform that reflects the evolution of Spanish cinema: from its strong social and political roots to its bold contemporary storytelling and formal innovation.

Through a carefully curated programme, ASFF aims to inspire audiences, spark dialogue, and highlight the diversity and vitality of Spanish and Latin American filmmaking.

ASFF seeks to inspire Dutch audiences through innovative Spanish cinema while fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding between communities. The festival envisions a vibrant, inclusive cultural space where film becomes a bridge between cultures and a catalyst for connection.

Recognition

ASFF is proudly endorsed by Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain, who supported its mission to bridge cultures between both countries during its 10th anniversary edition in April 2024.
