Two Films. One Night. The beginning.

Before the festival takes over Amsterdam this April, there is a first moment. On Friday 13 March, we welcome you to Pathé Tuschinski for the official Amsterdam Spanish Film Festival 2026 Program Launch Event, the evening that marks the start of this year’s edition. This is where it begins.
During this special night, we will screen two outstanding 2025 productions:
In HOMO ARGENTUM, the acclaimed duo Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat present a riotous anthology of sixteen episodes, each starring Guillermo Francella in a different role. With sharp humour and biting irony, the film dissects the contradictions, rituals, and neuroses of contemporary urban life.
Paired with it is GOLPES, Rafael Cobos’ feature debut: a stylish revival of 1980s cine quinqui set in Seville. Starring Luis Tosar and Jesús Carroza as two estranged brothers, one a cop, the other a former criminal planning new heists, the film blends noir intensity with lyrical social reflection on Spain’s Transition, exploring memory, loyalty, and survival.
During the evening, we will also unveil the full ASFF 2026 programme, which is taking place between the 10th and the 19th of April and officially open early access to festival ticket sales.
Be among the first to discover the films, special events and guests that will shape the 2026 edition and secure your seats before tickets go on general release.
COMBO DEAL
A limited number of combo tickets will be available for both screenings, including a reception with Spanish wine and bites between the films. An opportunity to meet fellow film lovers, celebrate Spanish-language cinema, and step into the festival atmosphere before it officially begins.
