After cultivating her career as an actress, Marta Nieto is taking on new challenges with her directorial debut with La mitad de Ana (Becoming Ana), following her short film ‘Son’, both exploring trans childhood and identity.
Her stage work in La Infamia earned her the 2023 Theatre Max Awards for Best Actress, and she continues to shine in drama play Vania x Vania, now on tour.
Her role in Madre by Rodrigo Sorogoyen was a breakthrough, winning her major awards, including Best Actress at Venice Film Festival.
Currently, she juggles projects across Spain (La manzana de oro, Verano en Rojo, Un pasado por delante), Italy (Lasciarsi un Giorno a Roma), and France (Tropique, Visions), solidifying her international presence. Most recently, she joined the cast of the second season of Berlín on Netflix as one of the new characters in the series.
