Miguel Faus is a screenwriter, director and producer from Barcelona. His debut feature “Calladita“ is the first European film ever funded by NFTs, after a successful crowdfund led by Faus himself. “Calladita” had its World Premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and is presented by Steven Soderbergh, who awarded it a post-production grant. It is based on Faus’ 2020 short film of the same title, which screened at many international festivals and was acquired by HBO. His previous short, “The Death of Don Quixote”, won the Melies d’Argent for Best European Short Film in Sitges 2018. In 2021, Variety named Faus one of ten “Spanish filmmakers to watch”.
