
Ona Jané Millà is a director and assistant director. She trained at ESCAC, where she graduated in Film and Audiovisuals in 2014, specializing in editing. She is currently in the post-production phase of the first season of the documentary series Diari d’un actor, produced by Forty and 3Cat, and scheduled to air on TV3. At the same time, the project’s second season is in development and financing,
Alongside her work in television, she is developing her career as a film director. Her first professional short film, Lea (2021), a candidate for the 13th Gaudí Awards, has been featured in festivals such as Premios Fugaz, Mecal, Fescigu, The Norwegian Short Film Festival, and Corto España, and earned Greta Fernández the awards for Best Leading Actress at Octubre en Corto and Avilés Acción.
In 2022, she directed De nit, co-written with Marina Rodríguez Colás, starring Greta Fernández and Marta Millà, and selected at more than fifteen festivals, including the Huesca International Film Festival, Medina del Campo, Filmets, and Enkarzine. She is currently in post-production on the short film No te’n vagis, produced by Enbabia Films, which completes a trilogy of short films that will lead into her first feature film, Pájaros de barro.
The feature film project is currently in development, following completion of the Dones Visuals screenwriting lab, where the work resulted in a solid treatment draft. At the same time, she has over ten years of experience as an assistant director, with more than fifty national and international productions, collaborating with filmmakers such as Renny Harlin, Tim Miller, Juanma Bajo Ulloa, Pau Freixas, Leticia Dolera, and Belén Funes—experience that has allowed her to develop a comprehensive perspective on the filmmaking process.
