Valeria Bistagnino

Valeria Bistagnino was born in 1980 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated in 2006 from the official film school of the film institute of Argentina (E.N.E.R.C), with orientation in Production and since then she has worked as executive producer in more than 25 projects, such as “When evil lurks” by Demian Rugna (best international film Sitges Festival), or

In 2018 she founded MOSTRA CINE with Tomás Eloy Muñoz. In association with Netflix, she produced from MOSTRA CINE “The Woman in the Queue” starring Latin American stars Natalia Oreiro and Alberto Ammann, directed by Benjamín Ávila (director of "Clandestine Childhood" , premiered at the Cannes Directors' Fortnight and Argentina's pre-candidate for the Oscars). She produced next to Martin Scorsese “The Freshly Cut Grass”, that was released at International Competition of 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, winning for best screenplay award.


The film is directed by Berlinale Golden Bear nominee Celina Murga in co-production with Oscar winner Axel Kutchevasky's Infinity Hill, and starring Oscars nominee Marina de Tavira and Platino's winner actor Joaquin Furriel. The film was also premiered as closing film of Latin Horizons of San Sebastian Film Festival, and also in competition of Biarritz International Film Festival, winning the Jury Award. He premiered “The virgin of the quarry lake” directed by Laura Casabe, and based on two stories by Mariana Enriquez at World Dramatic Competition in Sundance 2025, that also won best photography at Sitges Film Festival.
