Sofía (Amparo Noguera, one of the most recognised actresses in Chile), a school teacher in the town of Ventanas, has been trying to adopt a child. When she reads in a local newspaper that a baby has been found dead in the dump, she becomes obsessed with the fate of this creature, whom according to the law has no rights; the baby may neither be named nor buried. Sofía begins a legal battle to bury ‘Aurora’.
