Saturn Return, the big winner at the 2024 Málaga Film Festival, is a hypnotic tale of music and passion.
Inspired by the iconic ’90s band Los Planetas, the film follows a Granada indie rock group in crisis. As the bassist seeks a life beyond music and the guitarist spirals into self-destruction, the singer struggles for inspiration. Just as the band nears dissolution, they receive a life-changing offer to record in New York. Directors Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez craft a mesmerizing rock drama, blending psychedelia, mystery, and raw authenticity with a cast of real Andalusian musicians.
